NEW: PROPOSED BYLAWS AMENDMENTS 
The NANOS membership has approved proposed bylaws amendments to strengthen editorial stability and enhance the journal’s integrity. These updates refine the Editor-in-Chief’s term and clarify the separation of duties between the EIC and the Board. For full details, please visit the amended bylaws here.

NEW KNOWLEDGE: IN NEURO-OPHTHALMOLOGY
Guo et al. performed mechanistic studies examining dysglycemia and a possible selective vulnerability of the inner blood retinal barrier particularly to hypoglycemia. This furthers our understanding of some of the possible pathophysiology behind the increased NAION risk with certain diabetic therapies such as GLP-1 modulators. Read the full review.

Using LC-MS/MS to analyze the vitreous proteomes of 10 NAION patients, the study suggests that NAION is associated with dysregulation of hemostasis, metabolic pathways, and ECM remodeling, providing insights into its pathogenesis and potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
