2022 Annual Meeting - Health and Safety Measures

NANOS 48th Annual Meeting – Health and Safety Measures

The North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society is committed to the health and well-being of our members, meeting attendees, staff, exhibitors, and meeting contractors.

Vaccination Requirement

All attendees (and guests) to the in-person meeting in Austin, TX must be fully vaccinated (vaccines must be approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or approved for emergency use by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Every NANOS attendee, all staff, exhibitors and guests will be required to show proof of vaccination before being allowed to enter the NANOS Meeting. NANOS’s health and safety measures are designed to create exceptional, safe experiences for all attendees and participants.

Prior to arriving on site, attendees will be asked to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the U.S. FDA or approved for emergency use by the WHO.

Definition of Fully Vaccinated

By February 12, you must be 2 weeks post your final dose:

  • Second dose in a 2-dose series, such as with the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
  • The one shot of a single-dose vaccine such as with Johnson & Johnson's Janssen vaccine
  • Boosters are highly encouraged for those who are eligible and can get one

In most cases this means you will need your final vaccination dose by January 29, 2022.

Verifying Your Vaccination Record

NANOS will be working with a third-party vendor to manage this process. Instructions will be provided in January to all pre-registrants on how to verify their vaccination status.
