Patient Information Committee Highlights

JULY 2023

What is your committee working on and how does it impact NANOS Members? 
The Patient Information Committee focuses on creating educational content for patients regarding neuro-ophthalmic conditions. We currently have 13 patient brochures and will be working soon on adding several others. We just completed a series of 2-minute patient information videos that will soon be shared on social media and on the NANOS website -- look for those soon. We are also working on search engine optimization for our patient information content on the NANOS website with the goal of patient information on the NANOS website being an easily accessible source of trusted information for patients on neuro-ophthalmic disorders.

What resources should the membership be aware of?
We currently have 13 patient brochures that have recently been updated and are available for download on the NANOS website. We also have Spanish translations of the brochures. In addition, we have a one-page infographic for each of the patient brochures that is easy to print for use in your clinic and has a QR code that directs patients to the full brochure. Stay tuned for the release of 2-minute patient information videos that were just recently completed and the addition of more patient information brochures in the near future!

Did you know that NANOS has 40+ committees and taskforces? 

NANOS is proud of and grateful for having so many engaged volunteers who are passionate about advancing our mission. All our volunteers are the blood vessels of our organization. All that NANOS does ties back to their ongoing efforts and hard work behind the scenes.
