The purpose of the Scientific Program Subcommittee is to develop and maintain effective educational program for the NANOS Annual Meeting and monitor activities of NANOS related to other educational issues of importance to NANOS.

Committee Tasks

  • Develop scientific program for Annual Meeting
  • Present annual program to Board
  • Report to CME committee
  • Monitor moderator and speaker performance

Relevant NANOS Strategic Plan Goal(s)

  • NANOS will be the premier resource for neuro-ophthalmic educational programs and services
    • NANOS shall maintain the highest quality annual meeting
      • This shall include consideration of annual meeting enhancements
      • NANOS will develop a more robust web capability for abstract submission process
    • NANOS will foster the development of future neuro-ophthalmologists
      • By making the annual meeting attractive to medical students, residents, and fellows-in-training
      • NANOS shall continue skills transfer sessions at the annual meeting and post videos of sessions
