MEMBER RECOGNITION PROGRAM - WHAT'S NEW?

This month we'd like to celebrate a Members' Choice Award that went to the NANOS team.

Congratulations to Drs. Deborah I Friedman, Peter A Quiros, Luis J Mejico, Prem Subramanian, Michael Wall and the NORDIC IIHTT Study Group, whose article titled 'Headache in Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension: Findings From the Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension Treatment Trial' was selected for the Members’ Choice Award for the Best Headache Article. Read more here.

At NANOS we are always proud to celebrate our member successes. We believe that every member's accomplishments should be recognized, valued, and highlighted as our own. NANOS recognizes our members for their major awards, honors, and/or achievements in the field of Neuro-Ophthalmology through the 'NANOS Member Recognition' program.

All members are encouraged to make submissions for the NANOS Member Recognition program! CLICK HERE to access the online NANOS Member Recognition submission form and acknowledge yourself or another NANOS member today (member login required)!

ADVOCACY UPDATE/REMINDER FOR US-BASED MEMBERS

The NANOS Advocacy Committee and NANOS Board of Directors have been working behind the scenes to coordinate a response to the proposed changes by CMS in the Evaluation and Management (E&M) billing codes for next year. NANOS contracted a health economic consultancy to analyze the effect on patient access and physician reimbursement that these changes would bring about for both our neurology- and ophthalmology-trained members. Full report now available HERE (login required to view).

We urge you to contact your US House and Senate members, to convince them to rescind this very ill-advised CMS action.
