Neuro-Ophthalmologist (full time), Scripps Clinic, La Jolla CA

Position Description:

The Scripps Clinic Division of Ophthalmology is seeking a full time Neuro-Ophthalmologist to assume the role of Director of the Neuro-Ophthalmology Service, as our current Neuro-Ophthalmologist transitions to part-time. Starting date is negotiable. 

Scripps Clinic is a large private multispecialty group of located in beautiful La Jolla CA with a number of satellites in addition.  The Ophthalmology Division has all subspecialties represented. The Neuro-Ophthalmology practice is busy and thriving with referrals coming not only from within Scripps Clinic and Scripps Health but from all over San Diego County, Imperial County, Riverside County, Orange County, and beyond.

The Ophthalmology Division and Scripps Clinic are very collegial with a strongly patient-centered culture. Of interest to a consulting Neuro-Ophthalmologist are the high quality of and excellent relationships with other departments and divisions including Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuro-Radiology (including interventional), Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Radiation Oncology, Oncology, Emergency Medicine, Sleep Medicine and ENT.  

Although there is more than enough Neuro-Ophthalmology to keep you busy, if you also wish to continue another interest such as comprehensive ophthalmology, glaucoma, etc that is an option, depending on your interest.

Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Ophthalmology
  • Fellowship trained in Neuro-Ophthalmology
  • Eligible to obtain a California medical license or be currently licensed to practice within California
