2021 Annual Meeting Update from President

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Protecting the health, safety and well-being of our members and ultimately, our patients, is paramount. Although we were looking forward to seeing everyone at the NANOS Annual Meeting in Tucson in February, it is simply not practical to move forward with the in-person meeting given the pandemic and ongoing travel restrictions. Therefore, the Board of Directors unanimously decided to cancel the in-person meeting in Tucson and will organize a fully virtual event instead.

The Annual Meeting Committee has developed an outstanding program, which we will restructure and share in a virtual format. In addition, NANOS is in the process of gathering abstracts and we plan to share as much of this research as possible at the virtual meeting.  We will have virtual poster sessions and encourage everyone to submit their abstracts before the October 16th deadline!

We appreciate your patience as we navigate this transition. We will continue to provide regular updates as we begin to shift to a virtual format and look forward to “seeing” you all in February!

Sincerely,

Valerie Biousse, MD

President, North America Neuro-Ophthalmology Society
