Purpose

The purpose of this taskforce is to drive trainee interest towards the field of neuro-ophthalmology and to actively encourage application into our fellowship programs.

Committee Tasks

  • Optimize the ways that a survey can be created and distributed in order to query trainees;
  • Develop surveys for Ophthalmology and Neurology residents and fellows; query them regarding why they chose to join or NOT to join Neuro-Ophthalmology. The Taskforce will start with residents and fellows who have matched this year;
  • Organize and analyze the survey data and come up with an action plan based on the findings;
  • Increase exposure to Neuro-Ophthalmology fellowships through various channels (e.g. present a poster at the AAN Faculty and Trainee Reception on Neuro-Ophthalmology fellowships; website and social media announcements; etc.)
